South Dakota Tourism’s Work Recognized with Nine Awards in 2014 ADDY Awards Competition


PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Advertising Federation has recognized the work of the South Dakota Department of Tourism and its agency of record, Lawrence & Schiller, with nine ADDY Awards for advertising, digital marketing and public relations excellence in the 2014 awards competition.

Awards received were in the following categories:

Out-of-home – Vehicle graphics: “Your American Journey Presidential Bus Tour” vehicle wrap
Non-Traditional – Campaign: “Your American Journey Presidential Bus Tour”
Consumer or Trade Publication – four color: “Gift of South Dakota” insert
*Newspaper – single insert: “True Spirit of America” peak FSI
TV – services: “Spirit of America” TV
Integrated Campaigns – Consumer, Regional/National: “Spirit of America” campaign
Elements of Advertising – Music with Lyrics: “Spirit of America” music

TV – Services: “No Place Like It” hunting TV

“We feel very fortunate to work alongside the team at Lawrence & Schiller; a team that produces such high-quality, award-winning work,” said Jim Hagen, Secretary of the Department of Tourism. “Not only does the work win awards, but it proves its effectiveness year after year as we see the economic impact of tourism increase in South Dakota.
