They're Coming 'Back' to Your City - Big & Rich Return to Deadwood Mountain Grand

Deadwood, S.D. (07/18/16) – They are America’s Technicolor Cowboys! Musicians with no boundaries! They are Big & Rich and they are coming to Deadwood Mountain Grand on Friday, September 30th at 9pm.

The show, coinciding with the Deadwood Chamber & Visitors Bureau’s annual Oktoberfest celebration will be dubbed ‘Rocktoberfest’ and Deadwood Mountain Grand promises the usual high energy show Big & Rich fans have come to expect. “Not only do these guys have an incredible amount of hits, their live shows are nothing less than legendary,” said Susan Kightlinger, Deadwood Mountain Grand General Manager. “Plus, ticket prices are extremely low so we expect an energetic full house.”

Big & Rich exploded into the public consciousness in 2003 as that rarest of breeds—true country music game changers. With 2004’s triple-platinum Horse of a Different Color, they were able to tap into the best strands of a wide spectrum of popular music, filter them through their pens and voices and produce a sound that is instantly recognizable, if not classifiable.

“You still can’t really define what that sound is,” says John Rich. “Even we can’t!” Big Kenny Alphin agrees, adding, “I listen to a lot of music and I haven't heard any two voices go together like this. John and I can match each other anywhere. He can sing anything and I can make an entirely different other melody around it, and vice versa."

Fans can expect all of their hits including “Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)”, “Comin’ To Your City”, “Lost In This Moment”, “Wild West Show” and Deadwood specific songs such as “Deadwood Mountain”, “8th Of November (written about Deadwood resident and Vietnam Veteran Niles Harris), and “Big Time” (the video was recorded in Deadwood and Rochford’s famous Moonshine Gulch).

Big & Rich also have a new album ‘Gravity’ which has been widely praised and has produced two top-ten hits in a row with “Look At You” and “Run Away With You” and their current single, “Lovin’ Lately” featuring Tim McGraw has been climbing the charts.
